IT'S ALL ABOUT A

STORY

- ELISA'S BLOG -

A special pre-Christmas invitation received a few weeks ago from my dear friend Tommaso Corsini and his Team at Corsini Events Group.
It is always pleasant to celebrate special moments with sincere friends and long-time colleagues and exchange memories of the season which has just passed and best wishes for the new one (perhaps with a good glass of wine and some fantastic music performed strictly live); and it is even more pleasant so when the location – a family one – is one of the most beautiful historic homes in Italy, in Tuscany.

“Full of history and beauty, Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte is an ideal choice to immerse guests in the beauty of the Chianti countryside. A great example of 16th century architecture, the Villa is the result of five centuries of changes and renovations. Founded by the Buondelmonti family around the 11th century, it was the Panciatichi family who gave it its current structure and in 1630 to 1644 it became the place where Prince Giovan Carlo de’ Medici hosted events. Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte started being called a “Palazzo di Campagna” as of 1630 because of the banquets and celebrations hosted by Prince Giovan Carlo de’ Medici.
In 1644, the Villa was bought by the Corsini family who started a renovation projected that culminated in 1714 with the creation of a monumental hanging garden. After that came the construction of the lemon houses, then in 1861 a new entrance driveway was built, along with the beautiful English Garden”.

“Villa Corsini became property of the Corsini family in 1644. Located in Impruneta, just 7km from Florence’s city center, Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte offers its guests a unique view on the Chianti hills. There is immense beauty in its inner halls with frescoes that praise rural deities and the heroism of female figures.
And even today, with its Italian-style gardens, grand halls with frescoes and extraordinary hospitality, Villa Corsini is one of Italy’s most sought-after locations for luxury destination weddings”.

An elegant evening, yet light at the same time, transported to a timeless place, seasoned with exotic musical atmospheres and a spectacular floral photobooth curated by Simone Bertini (and directed in photography by the extraordinary energy of Alessandro Moggi and the entire Studio Righi Team).

Lately, especially since baby Nora has been in our lives, I have been carefully choosing which events to attend, and this one we could not miss. I couldn’t expect anything more refined and enjoyable, alongside old and new Tuscan friends.

Because “The best present one can hope for this year is to spend time together.”
