In my life as a wedding planner, there are adventures that are worth living and keeping in the memory as unique. And sometimes I am still surprised. I like to be amazed, I believe that still being able to marvel after 10 years + of activity is like lighting a small spark so that creativity and enthusiasm are constantly fueled.

I come home after three intense days of event. Or we can say a perfect “Destination Wedding” in Sardinia.

Sophie and Daniel, two guys and a three-day wedding – as I like to call it – in pure VOGUE Style. Fashionistas, enthusiasts, globetrotters. She, from Australia. He, half Swiss, half Australian. They live between San Francisco and Silicon Valley and are part of those millennials who are changing our world through ideas, start-ups, fashion, art, investments and a pinch of crazyness.

Through their eyes, Sardinia thrilled me, this time more than ever, in a different way. They had an affectionate but traditional vision of it, almost folk, but in a contemporary key. Difficult to find when you live here and everything seems so obvious.

It was all authentic, warm, as if they were part of that Local Community that danced with them (and with their guests from the international jet set) the Sardinian dances of the Balbacana group in the small square of San Pantaleo town.

The next day, the Sardinian Choir in the church, in Stella Maris, with “No potho reposare”, sung around the newlyweds at the exit… was definitely a thrill.

(in Sardinia, we used to do that after the ceremony, for a “good luck” for the future)

And then, the FAMILY. Daniel and Sophie’s came back to a place where their parents, 30 years earlier, had lived their love story. Pure joy!

So… best wishes, to the newlyweds and to us, that we can always be lucky enough to experience adventures like this, so warm and light, between sunset and … looots of Campari Spritz ? #DARLINGWEDDING
