If there is one wedding that, for a thousand reasons, I will never forget, it is definitely Erica and Luca’s elven fairy tale inspired by the famous movie “Lord of the Rings”
It was not an easy start, in fact I can say full of obstacles: an initially chosen location that “jumped” after several months, having to look for an alternative, more than 400 guests to be accommodated. The bride who was not serene for family reasons, the unknown of a big outdoor project at the beginning of the season.
And like a movie, those pieces slowly fell into place: the “plan B” location turned out to be not only perfect, but more suitable than the first one. Giving us some goosebump-inducing glimpses of enchanted forest. I confess that for me Tanka Village was not an unfamiliar place, on the contrary… it was the place where, a looooot of years ago, I had the idea to open my Wedding Planning Company “Elisa Wedding Dream” (which later became what you know today as Elisa Mocci Events). I was working there as a musician, and my days were spent immersed in the notes and the wind from the salty air, looking for something more. It was a place that saw many parts of me grow, in which I buried an important part of me (but that’s another story), and I was a little afraid to see memories from a lifetime ago resurface.
Instead, for me too, bringing Erica and Luca’s fable to light for who I am now, for the Elisa I have become, was a cure and a great satisfaction. I was still me, still there, but with a different awareness and role: that of having built dreams for others, and having finally made peace with my own.
Starting from the signature invites, hand-designed by Silvia just for them, to the lush, themed flowers by Stylosofie by Giovanni Raspante, we welcomed more than 400 guests to the Sardinian version of the land of Lord of the Rings. Where moss, small lanterns that transformed from seating installation to actual “path markers” in the dark, hanging flowers and candlesticks, and evocative music filled the air and eyes with a fairy-like atmosphere.
It was an incredible job with beautiful people: our Wedding Staff combined with Giovanni Raspante’s Team, many flower designers from all parts of Italy united by passion and enthusiasm in building centerpieces hidden inside glass bells, or decorating large centuries-old trees under which the bride and groom would dance during the night.
I love telling these kinds of tales… and it could not have been otherwise, for two very sweet and determined people like Erica and Luca for whom I gave every bit of creativity and soul because they-and their story-deserved it all. There are people who, at the end of the event, leave a trace. Surely with them we will not get lost, in fact I am curious to see where their fairy tale will take them….
Have a good journey through these wonderful images…
